Half A Dozen Trends Adozen are Loving this Summer

Here is a quick guide to six of the top trends that our team at Adozen Magazine
are enjoying for 2012...

1. Applique and 3D Florals
Chanel’s catwalk inspired high street brands to produce ruffled embellishments
on practically everything! It is a great way of taking the standard spring/summer
floral trend and stepping it up a notch to make a statement with a key piece such a
top or skirt.

2. Peplums
Whether it be in a skirt, dress or blouse – peplums are huge this summer. Figure
flattering on nearly every type of woman, they skim over problem areas on the
body whilst looking effortlessly chic and classy!

3. Automobile Prints
Prada first showcased the print on their catwalks, but now high street brands such
as River Island and even Primark are selling much cheaper alternatives. This trend
hasn’t been seen before and is here to stay for the summer!

4. Pastel Colours
An usual summer trend that emerged a few years ago, pastel/ice cream colours
are perfect for the spring and summer colour palette. Mulberry and Louis Vuitton
showcased it this year, but this trend can be found literally all over the high street!

5. Neons
High lighter pinks, yellows, greens and oranges are popular not only in clothing but
in beauty and nails too! Pairing neon with nude or neutral pieces is a great way to
embrace the trend without shocking too many people in the streets!

6. The Great Gatsby
To celebrate the new ‘The Great Gatsby’ film coming out later this year, many
designers have been embracing the 1920’s and looking towards that era for
inspiration. Think cloche hats, embellished dresses and pearls!
